The 100,000 stitches add up to quite a creation, topped by (what else) knit versions of Prince William and Kate Middleton. Believe it or not, this is not the first royal wedding-inspired knitting extravaganza. There's an entire manual on how to knit your own royal wedding party. Really.
We applaud Carter for her patience and devotion to DIYing but worry that her goal might be a bit misguided. "Who knows, it might even lead to an invitation to the wedding," she told The Daily Echo. I'd love to be there on the big day and I think this cake would be great for the occasion."
Anyone feeling inspired to copy the look, you're out of luck. She didn't use a pattern, though she did share she used three boxes as bases for the cake tiers. And all those flowers? Individually knit and sewn on. But if you're feeling jealous, we found this step-by-step guide to knitting a slice of cake.
